Our Library Database Application has two types of users:
1. Librarians or Library Staff
2. External Patrons/Borrowers
Use the login details provided at the top of this page to access the application.

This library management system is made for libraries of all sizes, such as school libraries, university libraries or even private libraries.
It allows you to have a full tracking of your library resources, borrowed resources, including the date of borrow and return, the name of resources, the fine for late return as well as patrons, authors and genres.

To view the library catalog,
1. Select Books from the application menu.
2. Select a book to view its details.

To add a new book to the catalogue,
1. Select Books from the application menu.
2. Click the yellow Plus button.
3. Fill in the details, such as Title, Author, Genre, etc.
4. Save the book to the catalogue by clicking the Tick button.

Select All Loans from the application menu.
All Loans provides an overview of books currently on loan by status: returned, borrowed, overdue.

Click Return for any of the currently borrowed books from the All Loans overview.
Upon clicking Return, the return data will automatically be set to today's date.

To search for a book,
1. Select Search Book from the application menu.
2. Search by title, genre and/or author.
The book search can be accessed by internal library staff or patrons/borrowers to search the entire catalog.

Only librarians can lend out books to patrons. To do so:
1. Select Books from the application menu.
2. Select the book that a patron wishes to borrow.
3. For the selected book, click Loans above the book details.
4. Click the grey Plus button near the right side of the screen.
5. Fill in the loan details: loan date, status, due date, and patron. Leave return date blank. 
6. Save by clicking the Tick button.
7. Save again by clicking the Tick button.

The application lets you manage authors, genres, overdue books and fines. It also has an intuitive dashboard for analyzing trending books, authors, and genres.
